To complement the PressMate Dampening Units, MGE offer a range of additive dosing systems, providing accurate and reliable chemical dosing for both alcohol free and conventional printing.

Auxilary Tank
The Auxiliary Tank and MX-1 doser are available for our smaller PressMate CS105 and CS210 Circulators. They can be factory fitted or installed as an upgrade on existing dampening units.
The Auxiliary Tank provides:
- 20 litre tank
- Manually filled with premixed solution
- Simple, cost effective dosing solution
- Simple, shelf mounted installation
MX-1 Dosing Unit
The MX-1 (Batch Doser) provides:
- MX-1 Automatic additive doser 0-6%
- Enables autofilling of dampening unit
- Suitable for dosing all major fount solutions
- Simple fount percentage adjustment
MX-2, MX-3 and MX-4 Wall and unit mounted Dosing Systems
The MX-2, MX-3 and MX-4 dosers are available for our larger PressMate Circulators (2kW and upwards) and can also be factory fitted or installed as an upgrade.
Doser MX-2:
- Automatic additive doser 1-5%
- Continuous flow of 10 to 40 l/min
- Can be wall mounted \ used for multi-dampening unit dosing
- Removable outer cover giving full access for service
- Separate tap feed for sampling fount solution
- Inlet water filter
- Simple set-up and operation
Doser MX-3: – Same specifications as the MX-2 except:
- Automatic additive doser 3-10%
- Suitable for dosing alcohol substitute for alcohol free printing
Doser MX-4: – Same specifications as the MX-2 except:
- Automatic additive doser 5-20%
- Suitable for dosing alcohol subsitute for alcohol free printing
Drop-In IPA Alcohol Dosing Unit
The PressMate AlcoMixer Dosing system is a compact, self-contained unit that is designed to monitor and control the level of Alcohol (Isopropyl Alcohol) in dampening system fount solutions.
Designed for trouble-free operation the system has no moving parts and once set up these proven units deliver simple, accurate (within +/- 1%) and consistent levels of alcohol control in the fount solution from an external supply.
The Drop-in unit can be fitted in MGE Dampening equipment as well as in many of the other manufacturers dampening systems either as a replacement to existing Alcohol control systems or as an addition \ enhancement to the Chiller.
Fount Filtration – FX-1 FountXtend
The PressMate FX-1 filtration system has been specifically designed to prolong the life of the fount solution by removing finer particles and contaminates using a 3-stage filter system. Click on FX-1 on the left for more information.
Results have shown that using this system has increased the life of the fount solution by up to 6 times, minimising chemical usage and greatly reducing waste disposal and its associated costs, meaning that systems often pay for themselves within a few months.
